Hello World!

I'm Karen Gonzalez, I run A&A Booths alongside my fiancée Antonio Ibarra, and I'm so excited to share the story behind A&A Booths, a family-owned, Latino-owned photobooth business in Raleigh, NC.

I always knew I wanted a career where I could connect with people. I got my real estate license and started selling homes after high school. Helping people find homes was rewarding, but I realized something was missing. I wanted connection with people. I decided to try teaching, and fell in love. I became an assistant teacher at a Montessori private school in Cary and truly enjoyed working with my students and being part of my community,

Then life threw me a curveball. I had my two beautiful children, Azul and Antonio, and was planning to become Montessori-certified... until I was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin's lymphoma. Between chemo, family, and school, I needed to focus on my health and my kids.

During that time, I realized I wanted to create something for myself- something that would let me connect with people and my community again. That's how A&A Booths was born, named after my fiancée and our two Beautiful children. Every event we do whether it's a wedding in Raleigh or a corporate holiday party in the Triangle area is more than just a photoshoot, It's a chance to create real, lasting memories.
